Heart Disease/Cholesterol

It's said that the three main culprits of heart disease are chlorine, trans fats, and homogenized dairy products. Fasting is also said to have a positive effect on the heart.

Cholesterol is reportedly very healthy; and many have high cholesterol counts with absolutely no heart issues. Cholesterol is said to become an issue only after the chlorine and homogenized dairy gashes up the arteries. The cholesterol in turn fills in to plug the arteries as a savior mechanism. This is where cholesterol can become an issue once the arteries are already damaged. So, to say that cholesterol is the problem isn't the full story. You need to focus on eating foods that do not gash up the arteries to begin with.

Solutions:

1. Get a reverse osmosis filter unit for your drinking water, and a good quality shower filter. A shower filter is very important since a lot of the gases are inhaled and act similar to a gas chamber with all those chemicals in the water. It's said that a 10-15 minute shower without a filter equals the effects of the consumption of unfiltered water that one would normally drink daily. Basically, it wouldn't make much sense using a filter for your faucet and not using a shower filter.

2. Avoid processed foods as much as you can. If you need, maybe treat yourself to a day of rule-free eating. This can be patched up via cleansing later on.

3. Instead of consuming milk and dairy from the store, opt-out for (raw) milk and cheeses.

Miscellaneous

-Rise your feet with cold water, after you take a shower. Our scholars say so. Even Napoleon Hill mentions cold rinsing, in his book.

-Lean with your weight on your left side when you use the restroom. Our scholars also advise this. I was watching the Tyra Banks Show and the expert was also saying the same. I think our scholars also say to lean more to the left when eating as well.

-When using the restroom, you want to squat or sit down. It is easier on the prostate's health, hence why you often see squatter toilets when you go overseas. Do NOT stand and use the restroom, it will put too much strain on your prostate. You will begin to understand why men have such high rates of prostate cancer.

Role Reversal

Dr. John Gray basically says that when women take on laborious-types, or other demanding jobs, their testosterone increases. Unlike men, when the testosterone of women increases, their stress also increases. The women need their oxytocin levels to increase in order to reduce their stress. Oxytocin basically increases when one takes on a role of nurturer.

Men, on the other hand, when their testosterone increases, their stress levels decrease.

Role reversal will cause a hormonal imbalance.
-------
Let your men work harder and earn more money; let your women stay home and raise the children. This way, if the man makes enough money, the woman has no need to work. If she is bored, she can find many other things to do, within the home. Man and woman should meet 50/50 in their duties that they bring forward to get closer to each other. Remember: many of us only seek more money for more things. The endgame should be contentment; money is only a medium to reach that stage. Learn to cut the middleman (money) out of the equation, and seek the end result (contentment).

Stress and Illness?

Dr. Leonard Coldwell says that 84% of illnesses stem from stress, while about 16% is pretty much from lack of nutrition. Stanford University noted that up to 95% of illness is stress related. Either way, stress seems the main factor in our overall health and well-being. Stress is normal, it's how we let it affect us that matters.

Illness is said to be from a lack of energy; stress depletes energy. Often people encounter negative stress because of fear. Fear results often from lack of preparation. Lack of preparation brings fear, which brings stress, which equates to loss of energy, which in turn causes illnesses. All of these are our body's cries for help. Who's there to help? Trust in Allah equals optimism.

The unfortunate one is he who falls down and remains down, while the successful one is he who gets knocked down and gets back up. Some say there is no such thing as failure, but rather results. If you take action, you either succeed and/or you get wiser (barring a few exceptions). We must learn to keep optimistic at all times. As I often tell others, it;s humane to worry a little, but too much worrying shows lack of yaqeen in our Lord. Trust in Allah equals optimism. (I had to say it twice.) ---------- It's said that the brain uses 70-80% of your food energy to fuel your tensions and worries. It's almost like 93 octane gas, while a calm, relaxed person is using 87 octane (you can get away with eating less).

Natural Toothpaste and Breath Freshener

Use baking soda, sea salt, and 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide to brush with. Gargling with this hydrogen peroxide is said to be effective as well. Use organic cardamom for fresh breath instead of gum, because when you chew, your body releases certain enzymes telling your body that it is about to ingest food; this, after prolonged chewing (without eating), throws the body's natural composition out of whack, thus leading to potential health problems down the road.

Parting With Bad Habits, Phobias, and Other Psychological Problems

This technique is said to be similar to acupuncture and it's ability to free blockages of energies. Many have said that it's very effective. If you want further reading on this subject, research Dr. Roger Callahan.

Natural, Safe Deodorant That Works

Try aluminum-free baking soda from Bob's Red Mill along with those natural salt crystal sprays that you can find in almost any health store. Use one spray under each arm, and then with a powder puff, apply some baking soda under each arm. I have found that the efficacy of this duo is superior to these 'natural' deodorants such as: Tom's of Maine, or Kiss My Face brand deodorants.

I may experiment with reverse osmosis water with added Himalayan salt instead of the natural salt crystal spray, since the spray is basically purified water with natural mineral salts. I find that this will be a more economical way. I will keep you updated on how it turns out, insha`Allah.
